Read What You Love: Monday Book Club

We are launching a new book club open to all staff and students. This is a “read what you love” club, with no set texts.
Each session will include time for quiet reading, informal discussion, and the chance to create a personal reading journal.
The first official session will be held on Monday 1st March and will run throughout the year as part of the National Year of Reading.

From bridge-building under budget constraints to designing and testing vehicles on a custom obstacle course, the day was packed with creativity, teamwork, and STEM learning.

Celebrating Our District Finalists!

Our students have successfully advanced to the finals of the prestigious Rotary Youth Speaks competition after delivering a powerful speech titled “The Mental Cost of Racism.”
The team impressed judges with their confidence, passion, and articulate exploration of a challenging and important issue. Competing in an event organised by the Rotary Club of Rochdale, they stood out among strong competition and are now preparing to represent Kingsway Park in the District Final against the region’s top young speakers.

Student Leadership Success at Carrington Training Ground 

Two Key Stage 3 students were given the opportunity to take part in the Sports Leaders Young Leaders Award at Carrington Training Ground.
As part of the programme, the students planned and delivered a sports coaching session to the men’s first team. They demonstrated excellent leadership, confidence, and communication skills throughout the day and both successfully passed the course with flying colours.
This was a fantastic experience and one that will inspire them in their future sporting and leadership journeys.
