A Wonderful Open Evening at Kingsway Park High Park School!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open Evening yesterday. It was wonderful to welcome so many prospective students and their families through our doors and give them the opportunity to discover what makes Kingsway Park High School such a special place.

Throughout the evening, visitors explored our school, met our staff and students and experienced the welcoming community that makes Kingsway Park High Park School what it is.
We were especially proud of our students who gave speeches about their own experiences at Kingsway Park High Park School, sharing what they enjoy about school and why they are proud to be part of our community. They spoke with confidence and represented our school brilliantly!

A huge thank you to all our students and staff who helped make the evening such a success. Their enthusiasm, dedication and pride in Kingsway shone throughout the evening.

Bounce, Drop, Discover!
What happens when you drop the same ball from different heights or onto different surfaces? That’s exactly what our Year 7 students have been investigating!

As part of their laboratory skills work, students explored different variables using bouncy balls, observing and comparing their results to see how changing the height or surface affected the bounce.
A fun and practical way to build confidence, develop key scientific skills and get our young scientists thinking!

Every student’s learning journey is different, and sometimes there can be barriers that make school and learning more challenging.

A fantastic start to Science for Year 9!
During their first Science lesson of the year, students took part in a practical skills activity, investigating how the temperature of different solutions changed over time using an ethanol spirit burner.
The lesson focused on developing important practical skills and preparing students for the skills they will need as they progress towards GCSE Science.
Year 9 showed excellent focus and enthusiasm throughout the lesson. Well done!👏
