From Individual Flowers to One Amazing Artwork

During our Open Evening, prospective Year 5 and 6 students were invited to get creative and help us recreate Vincent van Gogh’s iconic Sunflowers.

Each student designed and created their own individual paper sunflower, adding their own creativity and personality to the piece. The flowers were then brought together to create this fantastic large-scale collaborative artwork.

From just a few sunflowers to a vase overflowing with colour, the finished piece is a wonderful celebration of creativity, collaboration and community.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed a sunflower – every single one helped bring our artwork to life! 💛

Bounce, Drop, Discover!
What happens when you drop the same ball from different heights or onto different surfaces? That’s exactly what our Year 7 students have been investigating!

As part of their laboratory skills work, students explored different variables using bouncy balls, observing and comparing their results to see how changing the height or surface affected the bounce.
A fun and practical way to build confidence, develop key scientific skills and get our young scientists thinking!
