Egg-cellent Attendance Rewards! 🐣

We’ve had a wonderful term, and to celebrate our pupils’ dedication, we’re ending the term with a special reward!

Children in the best-attending forms of each year group will receive cream eggs as a treat for their fantastic attendance.
For those who have achieved 100% continuous attendance since September, there will be a special draw – 30 lucky students will each receive a huge chocolate egg!

Don’t forget, school finishes at 2:50 pm today and will be reopen on Monday 20th April, 8:15am. Students can wear school polo shirts at the start of the summer term.

Thank you to all our students for their commitment this term – your attendance has been egg-straordinary!

Culture Day 2026: Celebrating Cultures, Connecting Communities at KPHS

A fantastic day celebrating the diversity of our school community! Students proudly shared their cultures through traditional dress, performances, and an international menu, while lessons explored traditions from around the world.
In the evening, many student performers showcased their talents at our community event, alongside professionals dancing, drumming and DJing. European, Asian, and African food was available to sample a range of international cuisines. Students loved being involved, feeling celebrated and seeing their cultures embraced.

A Well-Deserved Win: Charlie Honoured for Courage and Confidence

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Charlie, who was nominated for the Mayor’s Youth Awards Rochdale in the Courage and Confidence category.
Out of 47 nominations, Charlie was chosen as the winner — an amazing achievement that truly reflects his strength and determination.

A special moment was made even more memorable as the award was presented by one of our very own students Lily-Sue Mc Caffrey in year 11, who was the speaker and read out the nominations.

Well done, Charlie — a truly inspiring accomplishment!

Students Explore Creative Futures at Access Creative College

Recently Year 10 students from Kingsway Park High School had an amazing day at Access Creative College, exploring the world of creativity!
From hands-on workshops in Music, Art, Film, and Creative Writing, the students experimented with music and visual media, tried out creative techniques, and got a real taste of what it’s like to work in the creative industries.
It was a fun, inspiring, and educational experience that left everyone motivated to explore their talents and think about future opportunities in the creative sector.

They recently took part in a digital art session run by Factory International Inspire Schools, working on iPads to design their own magazine pieces.

Young Musicians Represent School at Westminster Performance

Seven Year 7 students recently took part in the Music in Secondary Schools Trust annual concert at Central Hall Westminster, just a stone’s throw from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
They performed as part of the “MISST Together” orchestra, joining students from across the country in a fantastic programme of music, culminating in a powerful massed performance of You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen.
A real highlight of the evening was the guest of honour. As participants in the Andrew Lloyd Webber Programme, our students were thrilled that Lord Lloyd Webber was in attendance!

Back to the Basics: Fostering Responsibility and Respect at Kingsway

Eid Mubarak to our community! We hope those celebrating had a meaningful time with family and friends.
This week, our Headteacher reflects on the importance of returning to the basics of the Kingsway — the way we do things at Kingsway. From wearing blazers during transitions to arriving on time and showing respect, these everyday expectations help students be the best versions of themselves.
We’ve seen a significant increase in rewards and celebrations this year, and we want to continue focusing on that. Watch the video to see how you can support your child in taking responsibility and contributing to a positive, successful school community.

Fantastic work from our Year 10 students in English!

Students created revision posters for Macbeth, showing just how much they’ve learned and remembered. A special shoutout to Alejandro, Moiz, Mahim and Anees, who worked brilliantly as a team and produced some impressive work.
It was particularly great to see Anees so proud of his contributions—he was eager to share his work, which is a positive step and something we love to see in the classroom.
We’re incredibly proud of the effort, teamwork and enthusiasm shown. Keep it up, Year 10!

Market Day in French – Y8 in Action!

Our Y8 students brought the French market to life with creative role plays! Arma, Oscar, and Yaasir wrote and performed an excellent scene using vocabulary from their lessons, featuring a cheeky little character who just couldn’t stop asking for “bonbons”.

Only Arman was brave enough for a photo, but a huge well done to all the students for their creativity and confidence in French!

Year 10 Students Experience University Life at Manchester

We’re proud to share that 8 of our Year 10 students recently took part in an inspiring two-day workshop at the University of Manchester Faculty of Humanities.

This fantastic opportunity, designed to support students from diverse backgrounds, allowed our students to step into the role of university learners. They took part in engaging, team-based challenges while exploring a wide range of subjects including business, social sciences, arts, and environmental studies.

Throughout the experience, students built confidence, developed key academic and employability skills, and gained valuable insight into university life. They also had the chance to connect with student ambassadors and university staff, making the experience even more meaningful.

Our students thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and represented Kingsway Park High School brilliantly.
Well done to everyone involved – we’re excited to see how this experience shapes your future ambitions!

Exceptional Work Showcase!

Tylwa, Year 9, has shown amazing commitment in creating his recent portrait. Portraits are challenging, but Tylwa has followed guidance carefully and produced an outstanding piece of work.
We also celebrate Zaheer, Year 9, whose portrait artwork in art lessons demonstrates remarkable focus and commitment. His hard work and attention to detail have already produced fantastic results.

Science Week: Wriggly Roadshow Workshop

As part of our Science Week activities, students took part in the exciting Wriggly Roadshow Workshop, which ran over two days. Selected classes attended sessions throughout the day to explore the fascinating world of reptiles and invertebrates.

Students learned about the evolution, habitats and survival strategies of animals such as snakes, spiders and lizards, and discovered how these creatures adapt to their environments.

A highlight for many was the opportunity to see these amazing animals up close, making it a memorable hands-on science experience!
