Simple Steps Parents Can Take to Maximise Academic Potential - 29th January 2026

At Kingsway, we believe developing the whole child is just as important as academic success. In this video, our Headteacher explains how we work every day to ensure students leave us not only with strong grades, but as socially responsible citizens.

He also highlights two key ways parents can support this work beyond the school gates: fostering a love of reading at home and making use of the Reach Project to access enriching extracurricular activities across Rochdale. These simple actions can have a powerful impact on students’ confidence, social development, and overall potential.

We encourage all parents and carers to watch the video and find out how, together, we can help every child thrive — academically, socially, and personally.

Your Child’s Voice Makes a Difference at Kingsway - 15th January 2026

At Kingsway, student voice is at the heart of what we do. We listen to our students every day, giving them the opportunity to share their experiences and help improve our school. Recently, student feedback has led to real improvements, including a split lunch system that has made lunchtimes calmer and more enjoyable, and a refreshed reward system that recognises both in-class achievements and everyday acts of kindness and respect.

In this short video, you can discover how your child’s voice helps us improve the school environment and strengthen the positive culture that makes Kingsway a great place to learn.

Building Strong Connections Between Parents and School

Removing communication barriers between parents and the school is essential for building a strong, trusting relationship. By communicating openly and effectively, we can ensure that important information is shared and nothing valuable for our children is missed. Working together in this way helps every child receive the support they need to thrive.
