Apprenticeships are more than just a job – they’re a gateway to valuable skills and exciting careers. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, HSBC is hosting a series of free virtual events for students, parents and teachers to explore the world of opportunities available.

National Apprenticeship Week 2026 – Opportunities at Oldham College

Apprenticeship Weelk

National Apprenticeship Week 2026 runs from Monday 9th to Friday 13th February. This is a great chance for Year 11 students to explore pathways after GCSEs, including Apprenticeships and T Levels.

Oldham College will be offering support and events during the week, and we encourage our students to take advantage of these opportunities.

The Student Recruitment team at Oldham College will work with you before and during the week to help raise awareness of apprenticeships and T Levels with learners and parents.

T Level

Support includes:

  • Delivering in-school sessions on Apprenticeships and T Levels

  • Supporting Year 11 learners with next steps

  • Sharing up-to-date information on apprenticeship and T Level progression routes

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, they will also be hosting an online T Level Thursday information session for parents and carers.

The Future Apprenticeship Foundation

The Future Apprenticeship Foundation is a Pre-Apprenticeship/workplace skills programme lasting 12 weeks. Designed to prepare you for an Apprenticeship through a combination of work and study, you will gain invaluable work experience in a real work setting and gain extra qualifications which employers are looking for.
