Young Carers
At Kingsway Park High School, we are here to ensure that our young carers between the ages of 11-16 are identified and provided with the upmost support in their caring role.
What is a Young Carer?
We recognise young carers as children and young people under the age of 18 who provide care to another family member or friend who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.

- Physical care such as helping someone out of bed.
- Personal care such as helping someone dress.
- Helping give medicine.
- Looking after siblings.
- Managing family budgets and collecting prescriptions.
