Support for Parents & Carers – Workshops

Kingsway Park High School is sharing upcoming workshops from Rochdale Parent Carers Voice (RPCV).

Rochdale Parent Carers Voice began in 2003, led by a small group of parent carers. Today, the forum brings together parents and carers of children and young people with SEND to create positive change based on lived experiences.
They work closely with families to understand what matters most and to ensure services across Rochdale, Heywood, Pennines and Middleton meet their needs. RPCV also partners with local authorities, schools and health providers—highlighting what works well and challenging where improvements are needed.
Please see the flyer for full details and booking information.

🎥 Respect at Kingsway: Why It Matters

This week’s video is about the importance of respect across our school community. Our Headteacher explains what respect looks like in everyday school life, from how students speak and behave with others to taking pride in our school environment.
Respect is a key part of the Kingsway way of doing things, and it helps us create a positive, safe, and supportive place for everyone to learn.
We would value your support in talking with your children about how they can show respect every day at school and help make Kingsway the best it can be.

Building Resilience at Kingsway

We’ve had a really positive start to the summer term, with strong engagement in learning and a noticeable improvement in behaviour and attitudes across the school. We are currently placing particular emphasis on helping students develop resilience and the ability to overcome challenges.
In this message, our Headteacher highlights how families can support their children in facing difficulties, building confidence, and reaching their full potential.

Our Year 10 students recently took part in an exciting Maths Challenge event at Rochdale Sixth Form College!

The day was packed with engaging activities designed to build confidence and strengthen problem-solving skills, while also highlighting the many future opportunities that Maths can offer. Students were supported throughout by inspiring student ambassadors, who shared their experiences of studying Maths beyond GCSE.
A key message of the day was to encourage pupils to consider continuing Maths at A Level — including both Maths and Further Maths — and to explore the wide range of careers this can lead to.
The event finished with the RSFC Maths Challenge, where our team competed against other schools in a fun and fast-paced competition. Although we didn’t take the top spot this time, our students showed fantastic teamwork, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout the day.
We are incredibly proud of their effort and the way they represented our school! 👏
