Spreading Christmas Joy

Year 7 students at Kingsway Park High School – Spread Some Christmas Joy!

During Year 7 VISION sessions, students at KPHS have taken on their role as local citizens by creating over 50 shoeboxes for vulnerable members of the Greater Manchester community. They worked incredibly hard to source appropriate materials from friends and family and then wrapped and decorated the shoeboxes, ready to be delivered to the elderly and homeless community.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt particularly strong about making sure that everyone will feel special this Christmas. One student wrote the following in her Christmas card: ‘there are people in this world that care for you – never forget that.’

Ms Crook, Year 7 VISION Lead commented: ‘We are so proud of our students; they are incredibly empathetic and have worked so hard on the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.’

One of the charities that will distribute the boxes is Manchester Street Angels (Registered charity 1136416) who work tirelessly to help vulnerable members of the Manchester community.
