Letter to Parents – Christmas 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of a busy Autumn term, I would like to thank you all for the support during this term. It has been an honour and a privilege to have been welcomed into Kingsway Park High School, where I have found a hardworking and ambitious community that is determined to do the absolute best for all students.

Kingsway High School is at the heart of the community and community is at the heart of what we do. It has been a pleasure to see so many students participate in a whole variety of different activities this term – at lunchtime, after school and also many trips and excursions. Academic success is important, but we also recognise the value of the many character-building opportunities we offer at school to ensure that the talents and interests of all students are developed and supported.

This final week of term will be a busy one so here are a few reminders:

  • Our Christmas dinner day will take place on Thursday 15th of December students may wear a Christmas jumper or a coloured jumper either white, green or red.
  • On Friday the 16th of December our rewards assemblies will take place and students will finish for the holiday period at 12:10pm, full school uniform is required on this day.

We also say goodbye to the following staff Mr Kolbuck, Mrs Kennerley, Mr Parry, Mr Davis, and Mrs Raji and wish them all the best in their new roles.

Next term, we welcome Simon Ward the new Head teacher along with Ms Pottinger who will take on the role of Deputy head alongside Mrs Bailey.

All pupils will return to school after the Christmas period on Thursday 5th January 2023

I wish you and your family a peaceful festive season, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

With best wishes,

S Barlow
Interim Head teacher
