Dear Parent/Carer,
Just a short note this time to welcome you all back for the summer term and to note how well Y11 in particular have returned. They are well motivated and working hard for their exams – and when we consider that we are running classes after school every day, with a double lesson for on Wednesdays, Breakfast and Online Tuition interventions and lots of extra classes within the day, I think they are doing themselves proud.
Our tuition partner is now up and running on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a great uptake making sure we are off to an excellent start, and our partners at the Manchester United Foundation have now launched a Street Reds football offer on Thursdays here on site – this is free to access, please ask our MUF staff Andy or Phil for details or follow us on Twitter for more information.
Students are now allowed to wear their summer polo shirts in place of their shirt and tie – all other uniform must still be worn of course, and please remind them not to try to wear their PE tops as general uniform, they are for PE!
I would like to remind you all that this weekend is a long one with the Bank Holiday on Monday and INSET on Tuesday – and of course all our fingers are crossed for good weather!
Finally, to all our families celebrating Eid in the coming days, I hope that the time with family and friends is as special as you all deserve and brings great joy – I will add to this that those students who been fasting have done so with grace and resilience, we are very proud of them all.
