I would like to take this opportunity to invite you into school on the above date from 6.00-7.30pm to attend a work sector networking event.  I have invited local employers into school to give both students and their parents/carers the opportunity to chat informally with these volunteers to gain an insight into the world of work.  Our volunteers are keen to share their experiences of both further/higher education and work experiences/careers.  They will offer valuable advice and guidance to support our students with the important decisions they will soon be asked to make about their futures.

Whilst I appreciate that not all students have a career in mind at this age, it is important that they begin to plan for their future.  For this reason, we are offering students together with their parents/carers an opportunity to discuss these important decisions with a wide range of professionals.

When your child returns to school next September, as a year 11 student, they will attend assemblies for colleges and apprenticeship providers to ensure they are fully informed on all the options available to them after high school.  Local college open days will take place from October 2023 onwards, we strongly recommend you attend these with your child.  Help and support with applications will be available in school to ensure students complete before the required deadline.
