OPEN EVENING

5.00pm to 7.00pm
I am writing to inform you that our annual Open Evening is on Thursday 28th September between
5.00pm and 7.00pm.
The purpose of this very important event is to showcase Kingsway Park High School and to allow Year 6 students and their parents/carers from primary schools to meet with Kingsway Park High School staff and students. This helps primary students with their choice of Secondary School in preparation for September 2024.
For this reason, we are going to close the school on that day at 12.10pm.This allows students who are involved to go home and get ready for the event as well as allowing staff to prepare their areas for the evening. I realise that this is not going to be ideal for some parents, but I hope that you understand just how important this event is. If as a parent, you are really struggling with this arrangement, please contact Karen Smith on 01706 716761 to see if we can make arrangements to supervise your child until the end of the school day (2.50pm). Students who are entitled to free school meals can take a grab bag, which will be available at break time.
If you are a parent/carer of a child already at Kingsway Park High School, you are more than welcome to attend the event and look around our school. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee parking on the evening due to building works etc. Therefore, if you are attending the event, it would really be appreciated if you would car share, walk to the school or arrange an alternative mode of transport.
