Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a positive start to the Spring Term at Kingsway Park. The majority of students have returned with fantastic attitudes, high standards of uniform and great attendance. On a personal note, I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of spirit from our students and the community as a whole in welcoming me to the school.
We all share the common goal of maximising each, and every students' potential. In order for us to have every chance of success, we need your support and co-operation in improving the key area of punctuality to school. This is in preparation for employment and further study where being on time is considered a professional attribute.
Please can you ensure that your child is at school by 8:15am for a prompt start to tutor time at 8:20am. We will be working with those students where punctuality to school and lessons throughout the day is an issue. This will include reintroducing the punctuality detention system which will take place immediately after school each day. Students will be expected to catch up their lost learning on the evening that they are late or the following evening once we have made contact home.
it is vitally important that our students are on time and ready to learn at the start and throughout the day. We need to limit any lost or wasted learning time so that we can ensure success for all.
