Topic Intent:

This module allows students to talk about their local area, a context that they are all familiar with. It also allows for discussions of France and other Francophonie countries, widening their world-wide view. Within this module KS3 tenses can be consolidated. Students will expand their vocabulary and start to acquire GCSE level vocabulary.

Topic Intent:

This module encourages students to discuss holiday preferences and experiences. It also allows for discussions of France and other Francophonie countries, hopefully widening their world-wide view. Within this module KS3 tenses can be consolidated and the simple future tense is introduced. There are also aspects of transactional language which builds on the Y8 ‘Paris je t’adore’ module.

Topic Intent:

As school is a big part of a Y10s life, it’s a context that they are all familiar with. It allows for discussion on how education may differ across the world and also for the consolidation of tenses and opinions. Comparatives, Superlatives and the imperfect tense will also be introduced in the context of school. School is also a great topic to look at different education systems in Francophonie countries.

Topic Intent:

It allows for students to practise a range of opinions and tenses. It is also during the summer term that they Y10s start to have F.E taster days and some have the opportunity to take part in work experience and therefore it will be a topic that will be at the forefront of their thinking at this time.
