Topic Title: UNIT 1 COURSEWORK DEVELOPMENT | Topic Title: UNIT 2 EXAM (40% of entire GCSE) | ||||
Topic Intent: PORTRAITURE Students will investigate a range of artists that focus on Portraiture in their work. Students will take inspiration from this work and then continue to build up their own primary bank of images which can be drawn, painted or printed. Students will work in their sketchbook which will be submitted at the end of the course as 60% of the entire GCSE. | Topic Intent: Set by AQA Each student will get a choice of topic for their exam in which they will then independently investigate/experiment with artist research, techniques, processes and create final outcomes. | ||||

Assessment: AO1, AO2, AO3, AO4 – Each Assessment Objective is work 25% (24 marks each) for a total of 96. AO1 - Artist investigation – Burton Morris, Georgina Luck, Mark Powell, Loui Jover, Roy Lichtenstein, Marion Bolognesi. AO2 – Experimentation with materials and techniques AO3 – Analysing, annotation and recording ideas. AO4 - Personal responses.
