1.       Sketchbook development which holds all artwork, hitting all AQA Assessment Objectives (AO1,  AO2, AO3 and AO4).

2.       To be willing to experiment with various materials and techniques that are required.

Topic Intent:

Students will investigate a wide variety of contemporary and modern artists and crafts people which will inspire their artistic journey, helping them develop their drawing, painting, printmaking and sculptural skills.

AO1 - Artist investigation – Lorraine Roy, Vincent Van Gogh, Beth Krommes, Jackie Curtis, Jo Shephard, Klari Reis.

AO2 – Experimentation with materials and techniques

AO3 – Analysing, annotation and recording ideas.

AO4 - Personal responses. This can be final outcomes or drawings/paintings and 3D work that students have created based on their own ideas.

Students have opportunities to go on trips during the course, looking at contemporary and modern artists who have inspired the creative world.
