Kingsway students hit the road!
Despite freezing weather conditions, 19 year students braved the cold and took to 2 wheels for a full day of cycling. It began on the yard where the students were put through their paces by the two cycling instructors. However, the maze of weaving cones and tight corners were no issue for the 19 students, as they navigated through the tricky challenges with great ease, demonstrating perfect precision and calm control whilst doing so. As a result of their perseverance and impeccable behaviour in the morning sessions, the students then faced a whole new challenge in the afternoon where they would be cycling on the local residential roads WITH REAL TRAFFIC…
…Not a problem. Our students cruised through their left turns, right turns, U-turns…every turn! They dealt with traffic of all forms: cars, lorries, bikes and other cyclists. After riding what the instructors stated was 4 miles in the afternoon, the students, some tired and all cold, returned full of confidence.
The students were commended on their positive attitudes and impeccable behaviour, and we are really proud of them for braving the weather to complete the course! Well done.
