Year 8
- Home learning might be to complete a set of questions, a piece of further research, a poster or a design ready for the next lesson. This could be on paper or on the computer.
- This will be directly linked to their learning in the classroom that has taken place that week or to research something that they will be doing next lesson.
- The work will be set a minimum of once per half term.
- The timing of this will depend on the nature of the topic.
- The students will usually be given a week unless a specific task is required for the following lesson.
Sanctions
Students are expected to remember to bring their homework. They will be given a teacher catch up if they fail to do this.
Rewards/Acknowledgement:
Students completing excellent pieces of work will be rewarded with positive points on the school system or postcards home. Some homework given will be part of a competition where students can win prizes for their entry.
