Dear Parents / Carers of our Year Nine students,

Year Nine Home Learning Arrangements – from week beginning Monday 27th April 2020

Firstly, the staff at KPHS would like to thank you for your support in ensuring your son/daughter is continuing with some aspects of their learning during this unusual time. As a school, we are extremely mindful that any learning your son/daughter is accessing can only be beneficial and positive for him/her and we hope that you will continue to encourage them to continue accessing the website and the learning activities.

Since the temporary closure of school, our Year Nine students have been accessing the on-line activities and resources provided by the subject specialists in school. However, nationally there are increasing numbers of resources available for your child in the light of COVID-19 arrangements, and we would like to build these into our daily learning provision.

We have created a new daily timetable from Monday 27th April 2020 for your son/daughter to follow:

In order to continue with the necessary flexibility, there are no set times or access to live teachers for these timetabled sessions. Neither is there a requirement to submit work to the teacher.

Students should also continue to access learning via the hyperlinks on our website as they have been doing for the previous few weeks.

Each Curriculum Leader will decide on the curriculum content to cover and how best to resource and deliver the sessions. Students might also choose to take advantage of the newly launched daily lessons from:

BBC Bitesize
Oak National Academy
Joe Wicks’ physical daily exercise provision via You Tube

If your son/daughter does not have access to a computer, please ensure that you contact school should any paper copies of resources be needed. Also, if any of the above is unclear or if you need further support with any of the arrangements please contact JReilly@nullkingswaypark.org in the first instance. Many thanks again for your support in ensuring your child achieves the best they can.

Yours faithfully,

Deborah Ball
