Thank you as always for your continued support of us and your absolute adherence to the guidance at the moment in keeping the students at home if they are unwell; this is making a huge difference to us as we are (so far!) avoiding bubble closures – it is an incredible achievement and only managed as you are willing to keep them at home when necessary. You will know I am sure from the news that there are still lots of students being sent home in other parts of our local area and across the North West – and many of these situations are unavoidable of course, so I have everything crossed that we will not need to close bubbles – but I am grateful for all those of you following the guidance, keeping them home when unwell, getting vaccinated and doing all you can to keep safe.
A reminder that we are closed to students on Thursday 13th for Eid – and we will authorise a second day’s absence for this purpose too, but do let us know if your celebrations fall on a different day.
We have now shared with Y11 that they will finish full time schooling with us on Friday May 28th, likely before lunch. There will be work online for them for their college subjects after the half term – and they know that we may need some of them to come in during June too in case there is anything extra we need from them. They have been excellent so far – but they are now feeling the pressure of the last weeks, so do look after them.
Finally, I want to let you know that – while we are proceeding with our plans to academize with Altus following our consultation earlier this year – we are not intending to change the main uniform, though we are looking at some options to give you more support with the cost of it. In particular we are looking at changing the PE kit – I will share more details with you on this very shortly.
For now – thank you as always, to all of you celebrating later this week, we are thinking of you and hope you can enjoy a lovely time with family,
