Year 11 Exam Support
The following documents are available in the column on the right under "Useful Documents"
1: Year 11 Exams Bulletin
This is a sheet that will be emailed to Y11 students every Friday with details of all the focus sessions and exams for the following week.
- Breakfast Focus Sessions will run from 8 - 8:30am before morning exams.
- Please then register with your form tutors and go down at 8:40am if you have an exam.
- Morning exams start at 9am.
- After each exam, we will decide whether you return to P2 or go straight to break.
- P3 Focus Sessions are running from 11:10 - 12:10 for students who have an afternoon exam.
- If you have an afternoon exam, please register with your P4 teacher.....
- ...and we'll make arrangements for you to have lunch during P4.
- Afternoon exams start at 1:00pm.
- Some exams might run over the end of the school day.
- GCSE+ sessions run from 3-4pm for exams the following day.
Apart from exams and P3 focus session, all students must be in the their timetabled lessons.
2: JCQ Information for Candidates
The Joint Council for Qualification is the body that arranges and monitors exams.
The rules that apply to exams are made by them, not the school, and they are the same for every student in every school in England.
The booklet includes useful information about how exams must be run.
You will already know all this from your Grade Reviews, but it's still worth stressing the importance of following the rules.
3: KPHS Exam Handbook
This booklet gives information for students and parents about how we run exams here at KPHS.
Again, you'll know all this already but it's a useful reference to have at home.
