Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. Kingsway Park High School are looking to appoint a new or experienced teacher of KS3 and 4 French & Spanish who is looking for a new challenge and is enthusiastic at the prospect of joining an exciting, and forward-thinking team. The MFL department is keen to continue its dynamic development of community languages and is improving rapidly under effective leadership. The department contains outstanding practitioners to share best practice and it prides itself on continuous improvement for all.
The successful candidate needs to have a real passion for their subject and to be up to date with best practice and raising outcomes in MFL. The ideal candidate will be willing to help raise the profile for MFL within the whole school context. The MFL department at Kingsway Park High School is a supportive and hardworking team that is well resourced with a suite of language classrooms and a workroom for the staff. This supports the department in working cohesively to support less experienced members of the team and to share excellent practice.
What you’ll need to succeed
Applications are welcomed from colleagues with relevant experience of teaching (or training to teach) French & Spanish at KS3 and 4, and a real passion for their subject.
