Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are very proud of the high-quality facilities, resources, and environment that we provide for both staff and students. Kingsway Park High School are looking to appoint a new or experienced teacher of KS3 and 4 French who is looking for a new challenge and is enthusiastic at the prospect of joining an exciting, and forward-thinking team. We use a mixture of Conti and Michel Thomas style activities to promote confidence in our students. Pre-Covid we organised several trips abroad and in the UK, and are looking forward to planning more in the future. In addition, we have strong links with Rochdale 6^th Form and work together to promote language learning at further education level and beyond. We currently teaches French and Spanish and are keen to continue our dynamic development of community languages. The department contains outstanding practitioners to share best practice and it prides itself on continuous improvement for all.

The successful candidate needs to have a real passion for their subject and to be up to date with best practice and raising outcomes in MFL. The ideal candidate will be willing to help raise the profile for MFL within the whole school context. The MFL department at Kingsway Park High School is a supportive and hardworking team that is well resourced with a suite of language classrooms and a workroom for the staff.  This supports the department in working cohesively to support less experienced members of the team and to share excellent practice.
