Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are currently looking to appoint a new teacher of Art Textiles and Art for our growing Art department. We are looking for someone who has the desire to make a real difference to the lives of all our students. They must be committed to continually improving their teaching and learning and have high expectations and beliefs that every student can be successful.
We are looking for someone with a passion for Art Textiles to teach both Year 10 and Year 11 Textiles groups under the AQA Art Textiles specification. The successful candidate will also be required to teach KS3 Art, which covers both Art and some aspects of Textiles schemes of learning. We currently have 2 GCSE Art groups, 2 GCSE Photography groups and 1 Textiles group in Year 10. Students are able to access fantastic facilities, including a class set of DSL cameras, pottery wheel, 15 Bernina sewing machines and 40 computers with all Microsoft and Adobe suites.
