Teacher of RE

Teacher of RE

Salary: MPS/UPS

To start September 2022 (or sooner)

Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are very proud of the high-quality facilities, resources, and environment that we provide for both staff and students. We hold our school values of Kindness, Perseverance, Helpfulness, and Success at the core of everything we do and everything we expect from our students.

We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed RE Teacher who has a real passion and enthusiasm for their subject. We are looking to appoint a candidate to join our successful, forward-thinking, and expanding team. We have an excellent track record of RE results and have proven popular as a GCSE option.

The RE Department at Kingsway Park High School is a supportive team, who are well resourced with four teaching classrooms, and a large work area to encourage collaborative planning, regular communication, and assessment moderation. The RE department currently forms part of the wider Social Science faculty at KPHS. We would like someone who can deliver consistently high quality, stimulating RE lessons from years 7 to 11, and can contribute to raising the profile of RE and RSE across the school. We are seeking someone who is up to date with best practice and has a real thirst for high quality teaching and learning and shares our departmental and whole school vision.

The successful candidate will be given lots of professional support and opportunities for professional support/development within the department and the school. The new RE teacher will be fully supported by the Curriculum Lead of Social Science and an experienced department.

What you’ll need to succeed

Applications are welcomed from colleagues with relevant experience of teaching RE outcomes, and a real passion for their subject.

It is extremely important that all staff members have high expectations of themselves and the students they teach and share our ethos that every student is valued.  We want staff to be the very best that they could be.
