Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are very proud of the high-quality facilities, resources, and environment that we provide for both staff and students. We are currently looking to appoint a new head of IT and Computing who has the drive, ambition, and vision to grasp this large department and to take it on a journey of continuous improvement and sustained excellent outcomes for all students from Year 7 to 11.
The successful candidate needs to have a real passion for their subject and be up to date with best practice and raising outcomes in IT and Computing.
The IT and Computing department at Kingsway Park High School is a supportive department that is well resourced with 4 IT suites. There is a work area for staff within the department to encourage collaborative planning of medium-term plans and lessons together. There is a significant support within the department in all aspects of teaching. We want someone who has and delivers a clear vision, leads by example, is a great classroom practitioner, and has a real thirst for high quality teaching and learning. The new Head of IT and Computing will be supported by an experienced Assistant Headteacher.
